This ongoing narrative sequence of paintings is based on the story of a French sailor, Timothee Vasse, who was washed overboard off the coast of Western Australia in 1801. Some works from this series were exhibited at the Australian Embassy in Paris in 1995 under the title ‘The French Connection’.
