Artwork | Pop Paintings - 1962 - 1970
Paintings resulting from living in London and Liverpool in the late fifties and throughout the sixties. Main themes taken from contemporary icons, scenes of daily life and advertising imagery for cars. The fiftieth anniversary of World War One initiated a media and popular culture interest in the war and one sequence of paintings and collages relates to original photographic material studied at the Imperial War Museum.
